"Artigianato in Dimora", why it was born

There are ideas that come while you work, between a material and a form that comes to life.

Craftsmanship in Residence is born this way. From the need to give space to true craftsmanship,
that made of time, hands, research, and attention.

At a time when everything is fast, we felt the desire to pause for a moment
and bring back to the center what requires care.

Not only the objects, but also the way people meet, and the place where this happens.

A historic residence is not just a backdrop. It is part of the story.
It brings together memory and present, and gives a different meaning to what is shown.

Craftsmanship in Residence is a project of CNA Rieti and also arises thanks to a shared coordination effort. Alongside me are Irene Lupi from Curaes Gioielli
and Micol Leoni from the Fashion Academy of Rieti, with whom we are building a path that unites different but complementary visions.

This project also arises from the territory. From the need to create real opportunities,
that can give value to those who create and to those who choose with awareness.

It’s a project I deeply believe in, because it was created to restore value to craftsmanship and everything that encompasses it: time, material, identity.

On April 18 and 19, we will be at Palazzo Marcotulli, in Rieti, for the first edition.

Few realities, but with different visions, linked by the same understanding of doing.

It’s not just an event. It’s a first step.
